The most basic of all Esco ducted fume hoods, with a single-wall construction, is designed for a fully maximized internal work zone. It is generally applicable for common laboratory applications such as boiling, evaporation, drying, and other applications that emit noxious fumes and vapors. Specifications:

• ASHRAE 110-2016 certified
• Single-wall design
• Worktop and service fixtures are installed on the base cabinet
• No sash sloping
• Phenolic resin liner and baffle
• Available sizes: 4, 5 and 6 ft

Esco Frontier® Acid Digestion Fume Hood (EFQ) is a ducted fume hood designed for performing acid digestion or dealing with chemicals at high temperatures. This ducted fume hood is not suitable for handling perchloric acid applications.

Esco Frontier® Perchloric Fume Hood (EFP) is a ducted fume hood designed for routine handling of hot perchloric acid and hot nitric acid. However, it is not advisable for applications involving sulphuric acid, acetic acid, organic solvents or any combustible materials.

When heated, perchloric acid vaporizes and condenses to form metallic perchlorates on hood, duct, and fan components. In addition to being highly corrosive, condensed vapors can react with hood gaskets, greaser, and collected mater
